Jason Swanson

Originally, I am from Oklahoma City, where I grew up in a wonderful, musical family. Inspired by many different musicians and songwriters, I knew that performing and creating music was what I wanted to do.

In OKC, I was blessed to be able to study with great musicians like Jim Layton, Larry Pierce, along with Danny Vaughan and Lee Rucker, instructors at UCO's Jazz Lab.

I had also developed a love for fingerstyle guitar after seeing Doyle Dykes, Tommy Emmanuel and others play live. Even though I am always branching out as a musician into rock/jazz/country/etc., writing and arranging works for solo acoustic guitar remains a passion of mine.

In 2009-2011, I attended Oral Roberts University, where I received a degree in Music Technology. 

Now in Tulsa OK, I teach, perform, record and also work as a sound tech at the BOK center.
